Save Your Bookmarks and Passwords Safely

What This Will Do

  • Save your favorite websites (bookmarks)
  • Remember your passwords safely
  • Keep everything the same on all your computers

Setting Up Microsoft Edge

  1. Open Edge (the blue ‘e’ icon)
  2. Click the circle with dots in the top right corner
  3. Click “Sign in”
  4. Type your work email
  5. Type your work password
  6. If asked for a code, check your phone and type it in
  7. Click “Yes” when asked to remember passwords

To save a website you like:
1. Go to the website
2. Click the star icon at the top
3. Click “Add”

Setting Up Google Chrome

  1. Open Chrome (the round colorful icon)
  2. Click the circle with a person in the top right
  3. Click “Turn on sync”
  4. Type your work email
  5. Type your work password
  6. If asked for a code, check your phone and type it in
  7. Click “Yes” when asked to sync passwords

To save a website you like:
1. Go to the website
2. Click the star icon at the top
3. Click “Done”

Setting Up Firefox

  1. Open Firefox (the orange fox icon)
  2. Click the menu lines in the top right
  3. Click “Sign in to Firefox”
  4. Click “Continue with Google”
  5. Type your work email
  6. Type your work password
  7. If asked for a code, check your phone and type it in
  8. Click “Yes” when asked about saving passwords

To save a website you like:
1. Go to the website
2. Click the star icon at the top
3. Click “Done”

Important Things to Remember

  • Only do this on your work computer
  • Never share your passwords
  • If something looks wrong, email IT
  • You only need to do this once per browser

  • Websites you bookmark (save)
  • Passwords you choose to save
  • Your browser history
